Many of you know that we began our organization as Compumentor and
provided services under that name for the first 18 of our 21 years.
Over the last three years, as TechSoup increased in name recognition,
reach and scope of services and as CompuMentor stopped local
consulting, we have dealt with an increasing number of questions –
internal and external – about who we are. Are we TechSoup? Are we
CompuMentor? How do we refer to ourselves in contracts, in
partnerships, with our global network? We’ve talked internally and
externally about whether or not we should change our name, our brand
identity and, if so, how we should manage that.
As you know, we sent you a product requirements survey on December 10th. The purpose of this is to focus our business development team on the highest priority needs of the global program.
